Rio Calahan

Rio Callahan are a 6 piece band from Scotland drawing influences from Otis Redding and Stevie Wonder among others. Ther band formed in late 2008 and are a culmination of musicians who have all played togther on different musical projects over the last 5 years. Catchy melodies and soulful vocals are glossed by a dynamic brass section with every song containing a little something that sticks. Rio Callahan are currently finishing off their debut album to be launched in late spring/early summer 2009 with a host of shows to follow.
